Secretary of the Adamawa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Barr A T Shehu, on Monday submitted that the Governor Jibrilla Bindow “is the worst performing governor in the entire country.”
Shehu stated in reaction to a statement by the governor in which the latter rated himself highest in terms of performance in his first 100 days in office in the entire country
The PDP scribe said: “As far as I am concerned, 100 days is too much to judge one’s performance and not too little to analyse one’s performance. To me, Bindow is the worst performing governor in the country.
“N1.9 billion was given to the local governments which is the closest tier of government to the people but he diverted the money to something else. It would been better for our local council to touch the lives of our people.”
He claimed that the governor was rather “doing what is not the priority of the people of Adamawa by spending millions of naira on renovating the dilapidated Yola International Hotel while salaries are being delayed or not even settled.”
Shehu said: “In his 100 days, Bindow has performed poorly and less than the expectations of Adamawa people. The roads construction was not going as a result of failure to provide counterpart funding even as foreign agencies are ready to support the state with their resources.”
Shehu, who spoke at the PDP Secretariat in Yola, boasted that the PDP would bounce back in four years’ time.
