National Publicity Secretary, All Progressives Congress (APC), Barr. Felix Morka, has alleged a groundswell of smear campaign and willful misrepresentation against President Muhammadu Buhari, with a view to deliberately distorting the president’s achievements in office by the administration’s detractors in order to gain political capital towards the 2023 General Elections
Morka levelled the allegation over the weekend in Delta State during a grand reception organised in his honor by the Ika Community of Ika South local Government of the state.
He warned the detractors, including opposition politicians, to desist from underhand tactics and stay on issues-based campaign which should be driven by evidence-based arguments and facts.
Morka said: “People simply focus on distractions. They frame the issues to advance their self-interest. But the fact of the matter is that in every sector you look at, this party and the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari has moved us in quantum leap forward from where we were in 2015. This is controvertible.
“So I am ready to speak. That is the job I have been given and I will do it to the best of my ability. I intend to do with a lot of vigor, a lot of enthusiasm, a lot of candor to lead evidence-based argument and facts to our people so that they can see that it is not what they think”.
Morka expressed gratitude to the people of Ika Federal Constituency for organising the reception in his honour and commended Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ovie Omo- Agege, Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi and several sons and daughters of Ika, Deltans, and other South-South leaders who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that he was successful at the March 26th, 2022 National convention of the APC.
