In what may turn out to be the biggest upset in the 2023 Presidential Election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has lost his stronghold – Lagos State – to the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi.
According to the result of the election presented at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Situation Room and National Collation Centre in Abuja, Tinubu scored 572606 as against Obi’s 582454.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) posted 75750 in Lagos, placing third.
In another shock result, President Muhammadu Buhari lost his home state, Katsina to the opposition Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Atiku scored 489,045 votes to win Katsina, albeit with Tinubu not too with 482,283 votes.
