Governor Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa state has employed 149 Nurses and Midwives to man the various General and cottage hospital for better health delivery.
Head of Service of the state, Musa Kaibo disclosed this during a reception to honour Comrade Thomas Ahmed Shettima on his appointment as the General Secretary of Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives which took place at American University of Nigeria (AUN) Club on Thursday in Yola.
Kaibo said such massive employment into the health sector of the state government was the first of its kind and lauded the governor for the good gesture.
The governor, in his speech at the occasion, disclosed that salaries arrears and allowances of all the nurses and midwives working in the state had been settled.
Bindow charged the celebrant to leave up to expectation noting that to whom much is given much is expected.
