Coordinator, Rural Access and Mobilization Project2 (RAMP2) in Adamawa state, Engr. Vwampamki Bafyu, has lauded Governor Jibrillah Bindow for paying up in full the counterparts fund meant to construct access roads to rural communities in the state.
“Despite dwindling revenue Governor Bindow has really tried greatly in the payment of all the expected counterparts funding in other to create access roads to our rural communities”. Bafyau said
Bafyu revealed this to journalists in Gamlaja ,Mayo Belwa Local Government of the state during a site visit by the State Projects Monitoring Committee (SPMC).
He also commended the World Bank, one of the donor agencies, for making sure all communities in the state are accessible through RAMP2.
He said the governor has provided N69,671,259 to create the Bumanga to Gamlanja 10km road and the second phase of the Project in Mayo Belwa Council.
Also, Chairman State Project Monitoring Committee (SPMC), Engr John Garba enjoined the people of Rogange Gamlanja, one of the beneficiary communities to support the government by their community social services in other to maintain the roads.
A resident of Rogange, Joel Musa prayed that God would bless Bindow for constructing the 9.4-kilometre road.
Amidst tears of joy, Adamu Ibrahim, the Village Head of Galmja thank RAMP and shower praises on the state governor for the historic road construction.
The Contractors, Mohammed MC, assured the state government of doing a perfect job that will stand the test of time. The firm appreciated the level of cooperation and support it enjoyed from the people of the community.
