The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested four notorious kidnappers allegedly behind recent upsurge of kidnappings in the state.
The revelation which was made through a Press Release by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Othman Abubakar, noted that the four kidnappers were the ones behind the abduction of notable indigenes of the state.
“The Adamawa State Police Command wishes to inform members of the public that four of the kidnappers that abducted Eng. Wilson Gundiri, a brother to the SDP Gubernatorial candidate, Eng. Markus Gundiri, Hon. Usman Adamau, member representing Ganye/Toungo constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly and Alhaji Aminu (Sarkin Tsafta Adamwa) were arrested with two AK 47 rifles with 60 round of ammunitions,” the statement noted.
It added that the police have commenced investigations on the case at the state’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and thanked the public for their support and cooperation, urging them to maintain the tempo as “security is the concern of all and sundry.”
