The Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial district, Mrs Binta Masi Garba Tumba, has donated materials worth millions of naira to Mubi South and Maiha internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to relieve them of the scourge of their plight.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship Aspirant of Michika Local Council, Hon. Aliyu Koji, and who represented the donor, said the goods were not only to relief them of the pains of Boko Haram attacks but to equally alleviate their poverty present stage.
Koji said: “The Senator is not unmindful of the untold hardship inflicted on you by the insurgents. We are here not only to give you relief materials but to empower you economically. We are giving you Tricycles, Grinding Machines, Water Pump machines for irrigation farming, Wheels Chairs, Sewing Machines Salon Equipment, Mattresses, Beddings and assorted relief materials.”
Aliyu also expressed his vision for the people of Michika as he vying for the chairmanship position of the council.
According him, the area has been neglected and has no serious government presence due to lack of unity among the people of Michika.
He vowed to unite the people against religion and sectional differences that have hampered the council’s progress and revitalise the dying economy caused by the Boko Haram insurgency.
