Governor Ahmed who made the call while playing host to Committee on Police Recruitment in Ilorin, also expressed dismay over the challenges of citizenship as it affects residents in an area. The

Governor Ahmed raised alarm over what he described as proliferation of fake certificates and suggested a verification exercise to scrutinize applicants for the police job and other recruitment exercises.
According to the governor, “the verification of certificate is very germane in order to guide against criminals getting their ways into, especially our security system”.
Speaking earlier, Team Leader, Dr Femi Ogunsola told the governor that they were in the state in respect of the on-going police recruitment exercise.
