From Tom Garba, Yola
The People Democracy Party (PDP) in Adamawa State has told President Mohammadu Buhari not to spare from graft-related probes former PDP members who defected to the All Progressives Congress across the country.
State Chairman of the party, Chief Joel Madaki, stated this while briefing journalists shortly after holding a meeting with the state executives of the party at their secretariat in Yola.
Madaki, who lauded the President for his anti-corruption programme, said the PDP would support him if he goes about it with the rule of law.
He called on the party members to remain patients and avoid making unnecessary criticism of the government in the media.
Madaki stated that the PDP has realised its lapses and mistakes in the last elections, which the party is working on to bounce back in 2019.. However, he added that the party has also found out that it was still strong not only in the state but the country as a whole, stressing that many of those in power now in Adamawa and at the national were products of the PDP.
