Deputy Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu Campaign Organization, Mr. Lawrence Onuchukwu, has claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari is backing the candidature of his principal to clinch the national chairmanship post of the All Progressives Congress (APC) based on Adamu’s integrity as a true democrat.
Onuchukwu stated this on Wednesday, 16 March, 2022 while addressing journalists at the APC National Secretariat, Abuja shortly after picking the nomination form for the National Chairmanship of APC on behalf of Adamu.
He said Buhari as an honest person would not want to back any other personality but Adamu who had worked closely with the Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, to unify the party.
Onuchukwu said: “Remember, Senator Adamu headed the reconciliation Committee of the APC which attracted three governors from PDP to APC. Let’s not deceive ourselves. APC is not stable. That is why we want Senator Adamu to clinch the National Chairmanship of the APC to bring back unity in the party.”
