Twenty-one persons were killed and 40 kidnapped in renewed bandits attack on Shiroro communities in Niger State.
The attacks occurred on Tuesday morning when about 300 armed bandits on motorcycles stormed Kurege, Sabon Gida, Sararai and Rafin Kanya shooting sporadically.
An eyewitness and indigene of Shiroro Local Government, Galadima Salisu who confirmed the incident told reporters that unless government come to their aid bandits would take over the area. the area as they now operate at will.
Secretary to the Niger State Government, Ahmed Ibrahim Matane confirmed the incident but could not ascertain the number of both the murdered and kidnapped.
