Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, has approved the appointed of a former member of staff at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Alhaji Yakubu Ibn Mohammed, as his Special Adviser on Media and Communications.
A Statement by the Permanent Secretary Political Affairs, Hashimu Yakubu on behalf of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), made available to newsmen in Bauchi said the appointment was with immediate effect.
The new SA Media and Communication until his appointment, worked as Current Affair Producer with NTA Jos in 1977 after his graduation from ABU Zaria where he obtained a Bachelors Degree of Social Sciences in 1976.
The statement disclosed that Yakubu also held various management positions which include Controller, News and Current Affairs, NTA, Jos; General Manager, NTA, Bauchi, Director of News, NTA Headquarters and Executive Director Special Duties, NTA Headquarters before his retirement in 2012.
Meanwhile the statement also announced that, the Director of Press, Government House, Alhaji Ibrahim Sani has been relieved of his position.
