The Bauchi state governor, Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar has appointed Alhaji Muhammad Nadada Umar Zannan Misau as the new secretary to the state government (SSG).
This development came after the sack of the immediate SSG, Alhaji Bello Shehu Ilelah alongside commissioners and other special advisers in the state by the governor.
The new SSG, Alhaji Nadada Umar born on December 31, 1954 in Dambam local government area of Bauchi state. He attended Akuyam primary school, Government Secondary School Azare and Ahmadu Bello University Zartoia where he graduated with a degree in Law in 1978. He proceeded to the Nigeria Law school Lagos in 1980 and later worked with the state ministry of justice as legal officer, among others, according to a statement on Thursday by the Permanent Secretary, Government House, Malam Sa’idu Abubakar Maikobi.
The statement further showed that Brigadier General Ladan B. Yusuf, (rtd) who is the special adviser security retained his post in the cabinet reshuffle.
The sacked officials have been directed to hand over the affairs of their ministries to their permanent secretaries latest by Friday, July 21, 2017.
