The Bauchi State Police Command has found the dead body of a 28-year-old girl name Iklimi Alhassan who met her untimely death during a visit from her base in Plateau State to her boyfriend in Bauchi State.
The boyfriend, Nasiru Usman Banki, and another lady, Fatima Bala Isa, have been arrest by the police over the incident.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Command DSP Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Bauchi yesterday, saying: “Yyou may recalled that on 9/8/2015 at about 00:50 hrs,a young lady was sighted lying unconscious along Maiduguri bye pass near Awalah roundabout Bauchi. The police patrol team attached to Tafawa Balewa Housing Estate Division visited the scene and rushed the victim to the ATBU Teaching Hospital Bauchi where she was certified dead on arrival by a medical doctor and remains were deposited at the mortuary for post-mortem examination.”
DSP Haruna added: “Discreet investigation revealed the identity of deceased as one Iklima Alhassan, female and 28 years of Bukuru in Jos, Plateau State. She visited her boyfriend one Nasiru Usman Banki, male and 30 years old whose house is metres away from where the victims body was recovered. She was alleged to have met another lady one Fatima Bala Isa, female and 22 years of Makera ward at her boyfriend house which resulted into a fight”
He said both Nasiru and Fatima were assisting the Police with useful information that could help to ascertain the cause of Iklima’s death.
