Vice Chancellor (VC), Adamawa State University (ADSU), Prof. Gabriel Shalla, has been relieved of his post.
Commissioner of Higher Education, Ahmad Rufa’I, announced this on Thursday. According to Ahmad, Governor Bindow has directed that the school’s new Bursar, Dr Moses Zarwa, should take over the administration of the institution in acting capacity.
The Commissioner also enjoin the staff and students of the university to cooperate with the new leadership of the institution to bring the vision and mission of the school to fulfilment.
ADSU has been rocked by many crises in recent times, including financial and ethno-religious issues, which remain unresolved and evidently led to the sack of Shalla.
