The newly sworn-in acting party chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Hon Ibrahim Bilal, says Governor Jibrila Bindow is the best performing governor in country.
Bilal stated this on Tuesday while addressing hundreds of party loyalist at the party secretariat shortly after he returned from a brief swearing-in ceremony reception organised at national headquarters of the party in Abuja.
He praised Governor Bindow for changing the face of the state within a few months in office with good roads around the state capital, water projects and a workable blueprint of reviving the state’s economy, adjudging him to be the best performing governor in the entire country.
Bilal added that his coming on board as the acting chairman of the party was not to join issues with anybody in the state but a huge responsibility entrusted on him by the national leaders of the APC, which he could not refuse.
His words: “I am here to tell you that they gave me a trust to hold this office in acting capacity, I will do my best to carry every member of the party along and be fair to all and sundry.
“I cannot join issues with anybody, the national body of our party stands supreme and do the best for the interest of our great party to make sure all the vacant posts are well filled up appropriately in line with the party’s constitution,” Bilal said.
According to him, the governor, the three senators from Adamawa and all the APC lawmakers in the green chambers “are in support of what the national leadership of the party is doing.” He therefore, canvassed the support of all party members to move the APC forward in the state.
