A bomb blast occurred today (Thursday) in the Jimeta Division of the Nigerian Police in Yola Adamawa state around 10:15 am.
Our correspondent who was at the scene of the incident reports that some policemen on guard were affected with various degree of injuries.
The bomb which was believe to be one of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) recovered from Boko Haram and kept in the station’s police armoury.
The station, which is strategically located in the heart of Jimeta, the administrative headquarters of Adamawa state, is close to a central primary school, Nigerian prisons, NITEL and Jimeta old Market.
