”Chibok girls must not be used for political gains,” CAN Insists

National President of Youth wing of Christian association of Nigeria (YOWICAN),Engr Daniel David Kadzai, has called on politicians to desist from using the released Chibok girls for any political gains as the young ladies had went through a lot of traumatised experiences that were uncalled for.
Kadzai said he hoped that the swapping of five commandants of Boko Haram with 82 kidnapped Chibok school girls is not a flash in the pan in the war against terror and called on the government to beef up security in other to avoid another reoccurrence of the menace.
He enjoined Christians to pray more for the release of the remaining girls in captivity and any other person in the hold of Boko Haram. He also asked Christians to pray for the total defeat of the terrorist group.
Kadzai describe their secured freedom as a wonderful breakthrough for President Muhammad Buhari Government in the month of May, congratulating all Nigerians and international communities for joining hands with the present administration in fighting the insurgents, which he said was now yielding positive results.
“Most importantly I’m congratulating these girls and their immediate parents for living in the land of captivity for more than three years, for going through the horrible experience without a course of theirs and for seeing what is beyond their eyes to see at the age that it shouldn’t have,” Kadzai said
According to him, the relentless efforts of advocacies group like Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG), international NGOs like Red Cross, Rescue Mission, the prayers of many Nigerians and the negotiations team have played a major role in securing the lives of the 82 Young Nigerian ladies who were held captives by Boko Haram insurgency group.
Daniel also observe that the 82 rescued girls should be given a close medical attention and government should set a mechanism in motion that will work on their psychological wellbeingm which will deradicalise them of any evil indoctrination they could have embraced while in captivity in order to for them to live normal lives.
He insisted that no matter the intrigues on the story behind the release, government should live to the responsibility of securing the lives of Nigerians citizens as there are other girls and thousands of other people praying to be set free from Boko Haram captivity.
