
Wrestlers, Odunayo Adekuoroye and Blessing Oborududu have increased Nigeria’s medal tally at the on-going Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, Great Britain
The two females wresters recoded their feats on Friday, 5August, 2022. has added to Nigeria’s Gold medal haul at the ongoing Commonwealth Games
Adekuoroye defeated the Indian Anshu Malik 6-4 in the 57kg Freestyle category.
Oborududu defeated Linda Morais in the 68kg women’s category final, joining Adekuoroye in winning more than one Commonwealth Games gold medal.

Adekuoroye, two-time reigning Commonwealth Games champion, was better than Malik who had won her earlier two rounds within a minute.
En route to the final, the reigning African champion defeated Canada’s Hannah Taylor in the semis in a swashbuckling 10-0 victory. The win further increases Nigeria’s gold medals so far to six, with more medals still in the offing for the country.
