Council Chairman Commends Polio Immunisation Workers

Acting chairman, Jama’a Local Government, Mr. Leo Shekari, has expressed gratitude for the high level of commitment demonstrated by parents and health personnel to ensure that the fight against Polio succeeds.
Speaking during a review meeting of the just concluded polio immunization exercise at the council secretariat, Shekari attributed the success recorded so far to the commitment of all stakeholders.
He noted that the successful completion of the exercise in the local government without pending issues of rejection in Kafanchan ‘A’ and ‘B’ wards was encouraging.
The chairman then called on the entire people, especially parents not to relent at ensuring total eradication of the disease.
In a remark, Acting Director of Health, Mrs. Morica Ogah, urged health staff to also monitor the possible existence of other challenging ailments in the cause of carrying out the exercise subsequently.
