THE Kaduna State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has demanded audience with the Kaduna State Government over incessant attacks on communities in southern Kaduna.
Speaking in an interview on Thursday at Kafanchan, the State Chairman of the association, Bishop George Jonathan Dodo, told journalists that the move was meant to rob minds and seek better ways of ending the lingering crises.
Dodo disclosed that the association wrote the state government since November last year seeking audience with. However, he regretted that despite an acknowledgement of receipt of the said letter, “government delay in granting audience, is a source of concern. We want to contribute our own quota, in funding lasting peace and security.
“If the association was granted audience, we would have shared ideas on how to manage the crises. Continuity of the violence, destruction to lives and prosperity is against the good image and progress of this government”.
He expressed the hope that government will acquiesce to its demand soon.
