The Kaduna State government has been urged to consider the possibility of establishing libraries in public primary schools across the state, to enhance the quality of education at that level.
Head Teacher, Local Education Authority, Primary School Ungwan Yashi in Jema’a Local Government, Mrs Sarah Ibrahim made the call in an interview with The Dream Daily in her office on Monday.
Mrs Ibrahim said the establishment of the libraries will go a long way in equipping both teachers and pupils with materials to enhance the teaching and learning process.
She lamented that virtually all public primary schools in the state lacked library facilities, explaining that the development was detrimental to the state’s education system.
Mrs Ibrahim then advised the government to also keep to its promise of renovating dilapidated structures in schools to provide conducive teaching and learning atmosphere.
