The Governing Board, Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru, Kebbi State has approved the appointment of Prof. Ibrahim Rakson Muhammad as the new vice chancellor of the Ivory tower for the tenure of five years.
Breaking the news in Kebbi, the Registrar of the institution, Abudulaziz Yusuf Bazata, said the Governing Board of the university conducted interview for the vacant seat following which Prof. Muhammad eventually emerged as the Vice Chancellor.
Giving insights on Prof. Muhammad, Abdulaziz said the new vice chancellor is a professor of Animal Science who has been in the university system for over three decades.
Continuing, Abdulaziz said the new VC was before his appointment the Dean, Faculty of Agriculture at the university.
He further disclosed that the Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru has also appointed Mr Abdulrasheed Atanda Ahmed as the University Bursar.
Before Ahmed’s appointment, he was the Deputy Bursar , University of Ilorin and has accounting experience spanning over 30 years.
