Fire fighters battled in vain for over 40 minutes to put out the fire which burnt everything, leaving the building without a roof.
Property worth hundreds of thousands naira were gutted as residents were said to have travelled out. Mr. Mamman Yashi retired last year, after putting up 35 years of meritorious service at the N.T.A The cause of the fire disaster was yet to be determined.
However, from the look of things, Mr Yashi and his family require urgent assistance from members of the public, private and public institutions, to enable them start life again, after losing all they had.
