‘Forget Party Differences, Face National Development’

Chairman Randiyam Development Association (RDA) in Moroa Chiefdom, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Mr. Steven Dodo, has called on Nigerian politicians to leave party differences and imbibe the culture of team work for overall development of the country.
Mr. Steven Dodo made the call on Wednesday during a Radio programme “Guest of the week” on the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC) Rockside FM Station Kafanchan.
The Randiyan Development Association Chairman said holding firmly to political party differences, even when the ruling party was performing well has often denied the electorates good governance and progress, leading to abandonment of viable projects and programmes.
“It is time for politicians to leave political party differences and work with the winning party to deliver dividends of democracy; this does not mean there should be no constructive criticism,” Dodo said.
Stressing that motivation promotes good governance, the RDA chairman seized the opportunity to appreciate the good work of the Kaduna State Government under the leadership of Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai and his Deputy, Architect Barnabas Bala Bantex, for undertaking the reconstruction of Randiyam –Atuka Road in Kaura and Zangon Kataf Local Government Areas.
He said aside bringing a private Irish Potato firm, which will provide employment to many Youths and women in the Area, Government was in the effort of providing Randiyam and Atuka Communities with pipe borne Water and electricity.
Mr. Dodo appealed to the state government to provide the communities with health facility to help women and children from having to travel long distances for medical services.
He also thanked the Kaduna State Government and the Management of KSMC for the concern and assistance rendered towards the funeral of his only male Child, Mr. Douglas Steven, a Staff of the Rockside FM Station who died in a ghastly accident along with Godwin Sunday, a security staff in Malagum recently. Eight others sustained injuries in the crash which occurred as they were returning from a verification exercise in Kaduna.
