Following the lingering fuel scarcity experience in all parts of the country, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and representing Madagali constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon Emmanuel Tsandu, has berated the ruling party for allegedly subjecting Nigerians to untold hardship that is uncalled for.
In an interview with The Dream Daily, Tsandu said: “This is a sign of leadership weaknesses of the All Progressive congress (APC), I don’t see APC saving us in this country”.
Tsandu explained that because of the multipliers effects of the scarcity in the country the costs of products and services have serious skyrocketed.
“Since I was born and in the history of this country, I have never experienced this kind of fuel scarcity that is running to months without solution to it. This obviously shows that the government of the day is weak and lacks the will to deliver Nigerians out of the myriads of problems the country has been experiencing,” Tsandu said
He also said that “all Nigerians have to pray well for God intervention because at this point this seems to be the only solution. Even the ministers of petroleum cannot guarantee when this fuel crisis will end, having over-promised Nigerians on many occasions to solve the problem and failed.
“We consume 10 million litres of petroleum every day and no single refinery is working to produce even 5 million litres of the product, I believe all hands must be on desk to make sure that Buhari succeeds in this area. The stakeholders in the petroleum industry must come together to bring a lasting solution once and for all”.
