Gbagyi Elders Proffer Solution To Clashes With Fulani

Former National Assembly member representing Shiroro, Munya and Rafi federal constituency, Hon. Adamu Bala Kuta, has called for planting of grazing grasses for the feeding of cattle to restrict animal in a particular place for healthy meat and avert dangers of grazing.
Kuta gave the charge while speaking to some newsmen in Minna, said that this would bring a lasting solution in the continued clashes between the farmers and fulani herdsmen in the country.
He added that as the nation witnessed expansion and development Nigeria needed to emulate of countries experiencing peaceful coexistence between their farmers and herdsmen.
The Gbagy elder and APC stalwart advocated for government urgency in organizing a forum for the both sides on the need for peaceful coexistence and educate them on the dangers of grazing as well as the advantage of rearing animals in a particular place.
He therefore commended the efforts of governments and security agencies in ensuring peace in various communities hence more effort and commitment was required with the support of the citizens.
He emphasized that the APC manifestos was clearly spelt out hence lack of sincerity, selfishness and lack of commitment on the part of the politicians and leadership that can hindered the proper implementation to the benefit of the electorates or masses called for sacrifice by the leaders.
Also a prominent APC stakeholder, Alhaji Hamza Yanga Buba in an interview blamed the constant clashes between Gbagyis and Fulani herdsmen on the attitude of the leaders who needed to be proactive, forgive and desist from vengeance and reprisal attacks.
Buba expressed dismay and wondered where the current crisis emanated from explained that Gbagyis were known for their hospitality and non-violence while Fulani’s were before now known for sincerity and charged the leaders in ensuring peaceful coexistence and be vigilant in the communities.
He appealed to Miyetti Allah to urgently do something positively not to dent the image of their people and leader President Muhammadu Buhari who is known for peace and government should ensure dialogue for a lasting peace.
He further advised governments to create employment and empowerment schemes especially for the teaming youths to avoid restiveness hence for self-reliance.
