In a move that should inspire fellow sufferer of the ailment, Mr. Abraham Mamman, who is living with the Human Immuno Virus (HIV), which causes Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndromes (AIDS), is set to contest the forthcoming local government elections in Demsa Local Government in Adamawa State.
The healthy looking Mamman boasted that he has what it takes to take the entire people of Demsa Council to the next level. According to him, his international connection has strategically positioned him to bring investors to the Council, having worked with the United Nations (UN).
To him being HIV positive is not a barrier to greatness, hence his resolve to run in the local government election as he had long been living above the scourge and stigmatization of HIV.
Mamman said if elected into office as chairman he would pursue many life-changing policies in women and youths empowerment, agriculture and education.
He enjoined the people to rally around him to give his best to Demsa Council, saying he has his political and campaign structure across the nine wards of the local government.
Mamman also appealed to those living with HIV to support him and live positively above the scourge.
