IBB Varsity Gets N30m TETFUND Research Grant

The Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai has been offered a grant worth over N30million by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) for critical research projects to facilitate development drive of the country.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Muhammad Nasir Maiturare, made this known while receiving in audience the executive members of the Correspondent Chapel of NUJ, Niger State Chapter in his office.
He explained that the grant was the institutional-based research component of the TETFund, which would be utilised to explore potential benefits for socio-economic development of Niger State in particular and the country in general.
Prof. Maiturare said the researches cut across fields of sciences, technology, education and humanities.
The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the visit of the executive members of the Correspondent Chapel and assured them of Management’s readiness to sustain the collaboration with every media house.
He enjoined them to always be objective in their reports as the university identified them as critical stakeholders and urged them to cooperate with the Management.
Chairman of the Correspondent, Mr Aideloje Ojo, commended the laudable initiatives of the university, particularly on research areas that would contribute immensely to the development of humanity.
He assured that the correspondent chapel of NUJ in Niger State was ready to support the university by promoting its positive developments.
