You attain the throne of your forefathers at an auspicious time when our kingdom was getting used to being without a royal head for almost three decades. You are therefore a jinx-breaking royal father.

“Your choice in a rancour-free but keen contest bears eloquent testament that you are the choice of God and the grace of our ancestors is with you.

“I join all men of goodwill, all your friends and associates and in particular all sons and daughters of Ijebu-Igbo at home and abroad to wish you a reign filled with groundbreaking achievements.

I am using this medium to also thank all our compatriots for providing useful advises and intervention. Your patriotic fervor, untiring courage and artillery vigilance at the Gate of Oke-Tako, no doubt made this historic entrance possible for the true and full-blooded Prince.

“I specially acknowledge the immeasurable contributions of the Warrant Chiefs. These our fathers, did great justice to the rich memories of our departed ancestors by correcting the wrong of the past.

“Special thanks to our father, Emeritus Professor, Ayodele Francis Ogunye, for seizing the initiative to birth this illustrious assemblage of Ijebu-Igbo citizenry, working openly and behind the scenes with other eminent elders, cultivating the buy-in of the powers-that-be and distinguished stakeholders, that finally yielded the emergence of the Orimolusi-elect.

“As the designation of PRINCE makes way for that of OBA, I am certain that you will confidently exude the gait and grace associated with the throne.”

Odumuyiwa added: “May your reign restore the decades of vacuum created by an empty throne.

“May the cloud of darkness and arrested development around the glory and destiny of our dear town clear away forever.

“May the scintillating spirit of peace, love, progress and development envelope our community.”
