In a shocking development, Jane Edidiong Ufot, daughter of Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Eno, has publicly accused her father of being responsible for the death of her mother, the late First Lady, Patience Oluwakemi Umo Eno, who passed away on September 26, 2024, after a prolonged illness.

 In a viral video circulating on social media platforms, including X and Instagram, Jane alleged that her mother was used as a “ritual sacrifice” and claimed that her own life and that of her daughter are now under threat. The emotional video, posted on May 30, 2025, has sparked widespread controversy and raised concerns across Nigeria.

Jane, who serves as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Health, Safety, and Environment, tearfully stated, “I’m not a sacrifice, Mummy was,” suggesting a sinister plot against her family.

 She further claimed that unspecified revelations could soon come to light, stating, “If I die today or my daughter dies, my blood will not go scot-free.” 

The video also shows Jane handing her phone to her daughter, who appeared to be on a call with Governor Eno, adding to the gravity of the situation.

As of now, Governor Umo Eno has not responded publicly to these grave allegations, and no official statement has been issued by the Akwa Ibom State Government.

 The accusations have ignited intense discussions online, with some expressing shock and others questioning the authenticity of the claims. 

The video continues to trend, drawing mixed reactions from Nigerians, many of whom are calling for clarity and accountability. The unfolding situation remains a sensitive issue, with the public awaiting further developments.
