The Bauchi State House of Assembly (BAHA) on Monday recommended that the state should establish motor to tackle insecurity
In a motion presented to the House by Hon. Saleh Umar Nabayi (Ganjuwa East constituency) said the step was also because it would create jobs and increased the state’s internally generated revenue (IGR)
He noted that luxurious buses coming from Anambra, Onitsha and Lagos conveying passengers along with other consignment to the state without any check-point along the way or designated motor parks in the state was recipe for security breech.
Nabayi’s motion received widespread attention in the House , as members said it would address the menace of indiscriminate motor parks within the state capital and local governments in the state.
The Assembly resolved that the state capital should have four designated motor parks and that this should be replicated in other local governments.
