Jaba, Sanga Poised To Fight Polio

Director, Primary Health Care, Jaba Local Government, Mrs Christiana Peter Bako, has urged parents and guardians in the area to accord the fifth round of the polio immunization exercise the desired attention.
Mrs Bako started this while addressing staff under taking the polio immunization exercise at the Local Government Council Secretariat Kwoi.
The Director told them to carry out the exercise diligently and ensure that all children within the stipulated zero and five are immunized.
Mrs Christiana Peter Bako said the council had received enough vaccines and urged parents to take advantage of the exercise to protect the lives and wellbeing of their wards by having them immunized free.
She appreciated the leadership of the both Kaduna State and Jaba Local Governments for the Support extended to health programmes, assuring health staff will do their best to ensure the success of immunization exercises in the area.
In similar vein, the Administrator Sanga Local Government, Abdulmumin Yakubu Ashafa, has called on husbands to allow their wives to make their children available for this month immunization exercise.
The Administrator made the call while flagging off the immunization exercise at Janda Village in Numana Chiefdom.
Ashafa acknowledge that though it was cropping season, which keeps the farming Community busy, it was incumbent on parents to observe their divine responsibility to protect the lives and wellbeing of the children, by having them immunized.
In a remark, the wife of the Administrator, Hajiya Nasifatu Abdulmumin Ashafa, called on parents not to underrate the importance of immunization exercise, as it was significant to the wellbeing of children as well as safe undue waste of resources on medication.
The Director, Primary Health Care of the council, Mr. Sabo Gwamna expressed satisfaction with the impressive turnout of people, especially women and their wards, for the exercise.
Mr. Gwamna said the Council has taken enough delivery of vaccine that will cater for the exercise and urged parents to ensure their children are immunized.
