Jema’a Chairman Seeks Citizens’ Help For Burnt Kaduna College Lecture Rooms

The Acting chairman, Jema’a Local Government, Mr Leo Shekari, has sympathised with the Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan Waya over the loss of six lecture halls to a fire disaster.
Speaking during a visit to the Provost of the College on Monday at Gidan Waya, Mr. Shekari described the incident as “unfortunate.”
The acting chairman appealed to the state government and philanthropists to assist in rehabilitating the affected classes to facilitate normal academic activities.

Responding, the Provost, Mrs Hope Joseph Gajere, expressed gratitude for the visit, describing it as a demonstration of love and high sense of responsibility over the fire incident.
The Provost expressed concern over the need for urgent renovation of the destroyed classrooms, considering the growing student population of the institution.
The acting chairman was later taken round the gutted classes to see things for himself.
