A journalist in Yola, the Adamawa state capital, Kabiru Hussaini Gwangwazo, has dragged a communication firm owned by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, TV Gotel before an Adamawa High Court demanding a compensation of N27 million over alleged non-payment for a contract he executed for the television outfit.
The plaintiff noted that the television outfit has refused to pay him the said amount for a contract of procurement of broadcasting rights for Hausa films and musicals, which he executed since 2011.
Gwangwazo noted that filing the suit has become expedient in view of alleged complacency of the communications towards the payment of the contract over the years.
After hearing the arguments of counsel to both parties in the suit Judge Helen Nuhu adjourned the case to February 23, 2011 for further mention.
