Kaduna College of Education Matriculates 3,350 Students

The Kaduna State College of Education Gidan Waya on Friday Matriculated 3,350 of the over 6,000 offered admission for 100 level regular NCE students for 2015/2016 academic session.
Speaking at the matriculation ceremony held at the College Permanent Site, Gidan Waya, the Provost. Mrs Hope Joseph Gajere charged the new students to uphold the long-standing reputation built over time by the institution.
Mrs Gajere told the students to study hard to enable them not only graduate within the stipulated three years but come up with good grades to enable them further their education, stressing that “God and Nigeria are waiting for your patriotic service”.
She cautioned them against indecent dressing and bribing of lecturers for un-merited favours and warned them to desist from examination malpractice and other related criminal activities, such as cultism and insurgency.
While advising the students against being confrontational in seeking redress, the Provost said the Management on its part would continue providing conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning.
Chairperson, Matriculation and Orientation, Mrs Silas Zuwahu, told the new students to be law abiding and handle all college property with care.
He urged the students not to cut corners in their studies, but read hard to earn good results as the college will not Compromise Standards.
The Oath of matriculation was administered on the students by Magistrate Elisha Mukadas of the Magistrate Court, Kafanchan.
He advised them to uphold the oath of matriculation in observing the college rules and regulations and abide by the laws of the country so as to avoid the wrath of the law.
