Kaduna Council Chair Lauds Ginger Marketers Over Job Creation

Ginger Marketers Association in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State has been commended by the council’s Administrator, Yusuf Mu’azu Usman for creating jobs for many youth in the area.
The administrator made the commendation during an unscheduled visit to the office of Ginger/Turmeric Marketers Association in Kafanchan on Monday.
A statement by the information section of the local government, quoted Usman as saying the engagement of hundreds of youths on the cleaning and marketing of dried ginger and turmeric for export has created jobs for them, reduced unemployment rate and sole dependence on government for scare white kola jobs; thus, promoting development, and checking vices.
According to the statement, the administrator called on the association and members of the public to support government in the sustenance of the peace building process, asserting that “peace is critical and needed in the development and wellbeing of any society, Jema’a, Kaduna State and Nigeria cannot be exception; No one carries out business freely in the absent of peace.”
Responding, chairman of the Ginger and Turmeric marketers association, Kabiru Mohammed Kassim, expressed happiness and appreciation to the administrator for the visit, stating that it was the first time a chairman or administrator of a local government visited the association’s office to appreciate its contributions to the development of the society, promising to remain committed to its cause and in the support of government developmental initiative especially in the mobilization toward peaceful coexistence.
