Re-assigned chairman, Kagarko Local Government IMC, Musa Shehu Tafa has charged newly inaugurated members of the council to discharge the task assigned to them with every sense of seriousness.
The chairman gave the charge during the inauguration ceremony of the members held on Tuesday at the Local Government Secretariat Kagarko.
Tarfa told them that it was incumbent on the whole council to everything possible to justify the confidence reposed it by the Kaduna state Governor, Malam Ahmed Nasir El-Rufai.
He emphasized that security of lives and property was the major concern of the council, especially tackling armed robbery and kidnapping, assuring that necessary actions would be taken to stem the menace to guarantee the free flow of legitimate activities.
While expressing gratitude to the state governor for the opportunity offered them to serve the people, the chairman equally appealed for support and cooperation to enable them live up to expectation.
The out-going acting chairman, Saidu Suleiman noted with satisfaction the appointment of the council, stresseing that their service in the last tenure was commendable.
He assured the council of staff maximum support to take the Local Government to the next level of development.
Responding on behalf of other supervisory councillors, the vice chairman. Mr. Silas Musa, said they would work as a team to guarantee speedy development. Other councillors sworn in include Dairus Giwa, Ibrahim Abdulmajid and Umar ILiyasu.
