Let me at this juncture assure you that the commission’s report will be thoroughly examined and the recommendations implemented to the fullest”.
Ahmed appealed to the people of Share and Tsaragi to embrace peace, draw strength and inspiration from their diversity to the development of both communities.
He added that the people of both communities should learn from the December 2015 episode and use it to build a more united, peaceful and cohesive society.
Ahmed also urged the people of the state to “continue to exhibit good human relations and forge ahead to achieve prosperity together”.
Chairman of the Commission, Justice Suleiman Akanbi said 23 memoranda were received from both communities while witnesses were also summoned.
Justice Akanbi said members of the commission also visited the scene of the incident as well as the traditional rulers of the two neighbouring communities.
