The Assembly made the plea in its resolution after accepting a complaint on the alleged harassment of residents in the area.
The Member representing llorin North West, AbdulRafiu AbdulRahman (APC) under matter of urgent public importance informed the House of what he described as “inhuman treatment” meted out to residents in the area by security agents attached to the prison.

All Members who contributed including the House Leader, Hassan Oyeleke, shared similar view with their colleague and called for an end to the harassment.
Reading resolution of the House, the Speaker, Dr Ali Ahmad, urged the security agents to stop the act.
Ali directed the House Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Judiciary to visit the prisons with a view to coming up with other actions the House can take on the matter while the committee was given a fortnight to submit its report.
