Chairman, Madagali Local Government Area Council of Adamawa state, Yusuf Muhammad said he is disappointed with the response the federal government to the recent attacks in Mildu,Wumbili and Bakin Dutse communities.
According to the council chief the attacks led to the death of scores of people and wanton destruction of properties by Boko Haram terrorists.
He lamented that the lackadaisical attitude of the federal government to the issues of insecurity in the area” is becoming more worrisome and is given room for the insurgents to be regroup.”
Yusuf said in recent times only the state government had been supporting the fight against Boko Haram in Madagali as the Federal government did not show any concern over the killings in the affected communities.
His words: “The recent triple attacks in Madagali communities is uncalled for and it is surprising to see the unconcerned attitude of the federal government, which did not send a delegation to even commiserate with us over the ugly incident.
“You need to go and see how my people are suffering; their communities were razed, their means of livelihood had been destroyed and no single concern was shown to my people. Our First, second and third priority is security, please let the federal government provide enough security to my people.
” Security is our Major problem in Madagali, I’m pleading with the Federal government to send more security personnel to finish these terrorists who are denying our people peace.
“If there is no enough security personnel sent down to Madagali these terrorists are regrouping, they will resurface again to capture many areas in northern Adamawa state.”
