The death has occurred of Madam Comfort Abike Osigbesan of the Osigbesan Family of Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State.
Madam Osigbesan, 83, passed on at home peacefully and surrounded by family members on Tuesday 5 December, 2023.
As she had instructed prior to her passage, funeral arrangements were promptly put in place for mama with a wake-keeping held at her residence by the priests and choir from her church, the Cathedral of St. Mathew’s Anglican Church, Ojowo, Ijebu Igbo on Friday, 8 December, 2023.
Funeral service was held for the departed at the same cathedral – led by the Provost of the church, the Very Rev. O. O. Sotayo – on Saturday 9 December, 2023, followed by interment at the church’s burial plot.
At both events, church members, neighbours, family and friends paid tributes to Madam Osigbesan, recalling her life of humble service to God and humanity as daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, adviser and confidant to many.
A devote Christian, Madam Osigbesan is survived by four children – Mr. Tajudeen Osigbesan, Mrs. Kuburat Mustapha, Publisher/Editor-in-Chief, The Dream Daily Newspaper, Dr. Osigbesan Luqman and Hon. Tawakalit Bamidele Dada.
