It is no longer news that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has dissolved the boards of all federal ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs), except those listed in the Third Schedule, Part 1, Section 153 (i) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
But which MDAs are listed in the Third Schedule, Part 1, Section 153 (i) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended?
A check by The Dream Daily Newspaper of the Third Schedule, Part 1, Section 153 (i) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended showed that the following federal agencies are listed there and therefore exempted from the dissolution: the Code of Conduct Bureau; Council of State; Federal Character Commission; Federal Civil Service Commission; Federal Judicial Service Commission; Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC); National Defence Council; National Economic Council; National Judicial Council; National Population Commission; National Security Council; Nigeria Police Council; Police Service Commission; and the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission.
