Muslims Pray For Nigeria’s Prosperity In Jema’a Council

Muslims in Jema’a Local Governent Area of Kaduna State in the spirit of religious injunction and patriotism, joined the rest of their counterparts in the world on Wednesday in commemorating the Ed-el-Fitri celebration, which marked the end of the Ramadan fast that lasted for 30 days.
Through observed at low-key due to economic hardship being experienced across the country, it however featured fanfare.
Muslims including the Emir of Jema’a, Dr. Muhammad Isa Muhammadu trooped to the Eid Prayer ground along G.G.S.S Takau Road Kafanchan as early as 8:30 am where they were led in sessions of prayers by the Chief Imam Jema’a, Alh. Adamu Tahir.
They thanked God for a peaceful Ramadan, culminating in the celebration of Ed-el-Fitri in which they prayed for the stability and prosperity of Kaduna State and Nigeria, quick recovery of the sick and those who could not fast for various reasons.
Prayers were also rendered for those in leadership positions for them to be blessed with wisdom, love and courage to lead well, including security agencies, the civil service and against corruption and insurgencies.
In their separate sermons before the commencement of prayers, Iman Tukur Ismail and Sheik Aminu Kassim explained the significance and lessons of the Ramadan, Zakka, sharing with the less-privileged in society, which include seeking Allah’s grace for forgiveness of their sins and for them to forsake all bad habits by living in piety.
Quoting several portions of the Holy Quran, the Islamic preachers noted that, “when people changed from their evil ways, God is ready to forgive them and solve their economic challenges, and should they refused to turn from evil, they will incur His wrath”.
They called on Nigerians, especially the Muslims Community, to pray, support and cooperate with government to enable it execute people oriented projects and programs.
Political, traditional and community leaders and all those in leadership positions were also cautioned to be accountable to God and the people in their stewardship. The clerics believe that when the led and leaders play their divine roles very well, Nigerian will in a short period recover from its political, economic and social challenges.
Addressing the Muslim Community on return from prayer and after going round the Emirate, the Emir of Jema’a, Alhaji Muhammad Isa Muhammadu glorified Allah for forgiveness of sins during the Ramadan.
He lauded President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Nasir El-Rufai for their fight against corruption, insurgencies and their quest in revamping all sectors of the economy
The royal father called for public support to enable government render quality service that will advance the development of the country.
