The youngest presidential hopeful on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Felix Nicholas, has said that his candidacy will unite all wrangling power centres in the party and therefore urged all APC delegates to vote for him at the presidential primaries of the party.
Nicholas, who spoke on Monday, 30th May,2022 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja after being screened by the APC to contest for the presidential ticket of the party, added that he was not bothered if the APC adopted the consensus option at its presidential primary slated for 6th to 8th June 2022.
He called on Nigerian youth to take advantage of his candidature and support him to clinch the APC presidential ticket in order to bring new ideas into governance and change the narrative for the good of the citizenry.
He also used the opportunity to congratulate the presidential standard bearer of the People Democratic party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar for his emergency at the just concluded PDP presidential primaries.
Nicholas said: “Like I said in one of my interview, I don’t have issues with consensus. But for me to be part of any consensus, I have to know who I’m going to step down for. I have to know who that person is and believe in him before stepping down. I’m the youngest aspirant in the party. I bring a lot to the table.
“When I emerge as the candidate even the chairman of PDP will vote for me, because this is what Nigerians are looking for. I’m the only youth presidential aspirant today in the party, and I have a lot to bring to the table. I’m not just saying I should be elected because I’m the youth. I have a lot to bring to the table.
“I build businesses from scratch. I employ thousands of people now I want to do same through the instrument of government as Nigeria’s president. If I can do that in the private sector, I believe I can do the same as president. And apparently I’m the only candidate beyond APC as a party.”
