NAFDAC Reads Riot Act To Illegal Producers Of Regulated Products

Nasarawa state command of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has vowed to clamp down on all illegal producers and manufacturers of regulated products in the area.
State Director of the Agency, Michael Ali Attah, gave the assurance during an interview with newsmen in Lafia, the state capital.
Attah, who revealed that items worth millions of naira have been seized from individuals and companies not authorized to deal on such were currently in the command custody awaiting destruction, said NAFDAC has focused its search light in all nocks and cranny of the state to crackdown on illegal producers, manufacturers and sellers of regulated drugs, cosmetics, chemicals and sachet water
According to him, the command is currently working towards establishing a Liaison office in Karu, headquarters of Karu Local Government area to carry out its functions in the council and its environs.
He called on those who deal on regulated by without NAFDAC approval to desist from the act or face the wrath of the agency.
