The Management of the National Examinations Council, (NECO) has welcomed the decision by the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, to cancel the second phase of the National Common Entrance Screening Test conducted by the Council for admission of pupils into Federal Government colleges.
Registrar/Chief Executive, NECO, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, commended the minister for the decision, which he said would go a long way to further reposition the nation’s education system.
Garba said the NECO management has already set up a committee to strategize on the implementation of the directive of the Minister to ensure immediate compliance and implementation.
He assured all stakeholders of the preparedness of NECO to deliver on its mandate to always conduct examinations whose results are trusted worldwide for their credibility.
