From Julius B. Kezi, Kafanchan
With the announcement of proposed pump price, of N145 per litre by the Federal Government, filling stations in Kafanchan and environs now sell the product at between N150 and N160 per litre.
The Dream Daily reporter who went the town reported that most stations remained closed while the few selling products had long queues.
It was also gathered that the only mega station in the town that was selling fuel at former pump price #86 per litre, in the morning has adjusted its price to N145.
Commuters who were on queues at different stations bitterly complained over the new development.
A black marketer who spoke on condition of anonymity said because of the uncertainty of what would be the outcome of the development, they were now storing the commodity.
It was also discovered that the new price of petrol has made the cost of goods and services to go up, which many people complained about.
