The Niger state executive council has approved the establishment of Suleja Eco City, its new version of a government reserved ares (GRA) in order to decongest Suleja town, which is densely populated town closed to Abuja , the federal capital.
Commissioner of Land and Housing, Alhaji Zakari Jikantoro, who made this known in a post-exco press briefed yesterday in Government House, Minna, said it was the state government’s solution to the decongested Suleja town to allowed free flow of traffic.
He noted that the housing estate will be affordable lower, medium and luxury houses for the people of the state.
In another development, the Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Dan Nasara Mallam, disclosed that the state government would soon set up a high-power Judicial Commission of Inquiry to investigate the recent clash between a community and the military in Bosso local government.
Mallam said that the committee would be mandated to ascertain the immediate and remote causes of the crisis that led to killings on sides with proper recommendation to avoid future occurrence.
He assured that the government would do the needful in that direction.
