A former member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, representing Nasarawa Eggon West Constituency on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Raymond Danjuma Akolo, has made a case for rotation of political positions in the country.
Akolo, who made the observation during an interview in Nasarawa Eggon, Headquarter of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Council, said strict compliance to zoning arrangement in the country political system will limit tensions usually generated during elections.
According to him, the issue of marginalization has been widely pronounced due to the fact that some sections believe that leadership is their birth right.
The former lawmaker, who is an aspirant for the chairmanship position of the PDP in the state, said he was in the race to effect the unity and oneness of the party in the area.
He called on the party members in other zones to support him to actualize his dream because his zone is the only area that has not produced a governor, a speaker of the House of Assembly as well as chairman of the party in the state.
